As a Compliance Pro (Licensed Enrolled Agent CPA), you'll be the go-to expert resolving high-volume IRS compliance issues—duplicate assessments, unprocessed returns, ID theft cases, business compliance hurdles, and more. You'll gain invaluable experience speaking directly with the IRS and ACS, documenting every step clearly, and advancing cases toward resolution while learning the ins and outs of tax procedures under guidance.

Your Role

As a Compliance Pro (EA/CPA) at TPS, you’ll analyze complex financial data, develop tailored tax resolution strategies, and work directly with the IRS to secure outcomes that transform clients’ financial futures. Your day-to-day will include:

• Communicating with the IRS over the phone to obtain or provide information needed to resolve a
  compliance issue
• Providing clear and actionable notations of calls, actions taken, and information needed
• Preparing professional and clear written correspondence to the IRS
• Holding 3-way calls between the taxpayer and the IRS as necessary to resolve compliance issues
• Conducting compliance calls to check if ID theft has cleared
• Conducting compliance calls to determine missing returns and filing requirements
• Contacting ACS to secure new copies of levy release paperwork
• Working with Accounts Management, Practitioner Priority Line, Automated Collections, and other
  IRS departments as necessary

Must-Haves

• Active Enrolled Agent license or CPA.

• Active PTIN

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and client-focused mindset.

Preferred

• Established E-services account on IRS.gov

• Previous experience speaking with IRS is preferred but not required
